The Coop arrived to a cold, rainy practice round on Friday. Despite a good soak throughout the day, Park Mammoth shined, especially around the unique green complexes. The Coop arrived to the Airbnbs to dry out golf bags, feast on homemade Cinci-style chili, and begin the bourbon sampling that was a staple of the post-round revelry by our members.
Saturday was a completely different ballgame, and we’re glad of it. Early clouds opened to pretty consistent sunshine and warmer temps for match day. The sodden course led to a decision to play lift-clean-and-place from all surfaces. Greens were cut and rolled, with new pins placed, leading to some eventful approaches and more putts than many expected for those on the wrong side of the 11th green.
Despite a few strokes of brilliance from the Coop in Fourball and a couple of singles matches, HCC was able to walk away with another victory. As evidenced by the shots from Golden Bell Photography, Park Mammoth shined throughout.
